OUR AIM
We want to raise awareness in the school and around the world. We want to encourage and convince people (the ones who agrees with us and the ones that don’t) to support us and hopefully spread this issue to their relatives. That way we can have more chances of people speaking up or donating money to legitimate organizations in order to help build the border. (Because building the border might help the Mexico. We want to make them realize that the government also has to solve the problem by themselves instead of running away from their own country to America.)

In our message, we will focus on telling people the real deal behind this issue first and the impacts it’s doing to the US. Then we want people to support us by spreading and telling their friends and relatives, which can get a better chance of people supporting big organizations that are actually doing something.

We want to continue couraging people worldwide to donate money for a legitimate organization that is trying to build fences around the United States.

Part One: Background-
Opening based on persuasive paragraph and reflection question about your issues in general ·Why is this issue a global one? What is the main problem? Illegal immigration is a global issue because it is happening all over the world and not just in the United States. It also affects the society around the world especially in the United Sates. It causes conflicts between countries which continue on and finally the conflict gets big and it turns into a war. Also, the population growth will start to grow too much and if this continues, the population of the United States would be overloaded. ·How is this issue affecting the world? The illegal immigrants affect the quality of life. They can cause crimes and all sorts of bad things to the countries they illegally migrate to (US). ·What is being done to stop, prevent or fix this issue? People are trying to donate money to build a fence around the United States and other countries. Also, people are starting to tell the illegal immigrants to get a proper visa so they can enter the country and be legal at the same time. But as people know these things are not easy to accomplish because it needs lots of requirements to do these activities of preventing the immigrants.
Part Two: Case Study- The specific area you choose to focus on ·Make sure to have some background on your specific area We know about the illegal immigration and also about the Mexican illegal immigrants coming into America. Some of the information we collected is about how the illegal immigrants are affecting the U.S. and the opinions from two different sides to this issue. We’ve looked at lot of solutions and thought of one that will help both the Americans who don’t want the Mexicans to be in their country and the Mexicans who have no choice but to cross the border for job and money. I think we will be able to convince both sides. ·Interactive Activity- This should be related to your case study and involve audiences members in order to educate them more on your topic - We can do an activity that involves people to write down the options we have if we are the illegal immigrant who have no money, no job, and no food. Then we could discuss and share our answers.

The purpose- Why are you doing this action? The reason why we are trying to raise awareness of this issue to the public, especially emphasizing the negative effects of illegal immigrants in America, is because we are trying to persuade and convince the public to think our way. We want to help both the U.S. and the illegal immigrants from Mexico by enforcing the border and building fences.

The message- Why should people be informed about this issue? People should be informed about this issue because some people don’t care about what’s happening to their country and how illegal immigrants are affecting it. So we should tell them to help build the fences and stop illegal immigrants from coming into their country.

In our website, we would also like to update our own posters that will make people be conscious of the issue. Our main point is to get more people to understand illegal immigration and persuade people to think that we need to stop this.

A long-term plan for achieving your goal Our long-term plan would be to continue running our website and finally be able to donate money (the donators would be the people who visit our website and are convinced about our idea) to the legitimate organizations to continue building the fences around the borders and stop illegal immigration.
Part Four: Conclusion Our conclusion is that by the end of the presentation people would understand more about illegal immigration. We want them to think deeply about our topic; mainly the affects it’s doing to the country and the reasons why we need to try and stop illegal immigration. We want to inspire people to support and take even a bigger action such as supporting other legitimate organizations out there.

When we move into high school, we can continue to spread this issue to everyone and inform him or her about it. Encourage people to help and support because the more people, the better. We can put this topic on school newspaper to get people to see and realize the importance of this.
